COSI Student Member:

Being a Student Member of COSI is exactly the same as being a regular COSI Member with two important exceptions:

​

1. The educational background criterion for eligibility is as follows: Must be enrolled in a program of study which will result in a Masters or higher degree in I/O psychology, Organizational psychology, Organizational Behavior, HR or similar fields. Upon completion of their degree, Student Members will become regular COSI

​

2. Student members may not apply to be a member of the COSI Core Committee until completion of their degree. If, at the time of completion, they fulfil the other requirements of Core Committee membership, then they are eligible to be considered for the committee members.

 Criteria for COSI membership:

​

1. Educational background –Masters or PhD in I/O psychology, Organizational psychology, Organizational Behavior, HR or similar fields. 

(For degrees not mentioned here, cases will be considered on an individual basis by the COSI Core Committee, based on criteria such as organizational research focus of the chosen field and applicability to evidence-based practices in India.)

2. Connection to India – Must self-identify as “having professional and/or personal connections

to India”.

​

3. Signing the COSI Accord which specifies the following:

a. Belief in COSI’s vision and mission.

​

b. As COSI evolves, the Committee might decide to charge a nominal membership fee as appropriate in order to support operations only.

​

c. Time/effort commitment: Willing to invest time and effort on a regular basis to promote COSI’s mission. At the time of signing up as a COSI member, each individual will need to pick at least one volunteer activity.

​

c. Can solicit from COSI members and friends only once a quarter. Solicitations include (but are not limited to) job postings, job enquiries, requests for survey/data collection, etc.

i. This can happen through COSI’s LinkedIn group or Facebook page (or similar online community presence)

ii. Posts may be monitored by a volunteer, depending on the forum in question.
